TechCamp Malaysia 2022: Smart Journalism, Healthy Democracy
This year, TechCamp Malaysia 2022 aims to build the capacity of journalists in applying digital investigative skills and using data tools to counter disinformation and produce quality content, particularly in the area of political and electoral reporting. Participants will undergo training by industry experts, work with trainers to develop and apply sustainable technology solutions, and utilize TechCamp’s follow-on funds to move their ideas into action.

Building Trust and Media Literacy in the Digital Age
TechCamp Malaysia was held to train and equip journalists as well as social media, community, and government influencers with the tools to inculcate media literacy skills among the wider public. Throughout the two-week virtual program, participants worked with technologists and international experts to develop tech based solutions to the misinformation challenges at hand.
