As a reporter, Ms. Manabat is responsible for researching, gathering information, and writing news for ABS-CBN’s multimedia platforms: television, social media, radio, and news websites. Ms. Manabat is assigned to produce consumer-based stories under the business beat, where she files daily reports on transportation and other economic issues. She uses data extensively in her reports. She is also one of the reporters tapped to collaborate in creating data journalism projects. She is adept at doing live reports, mobile journalism, and video editing. She has a diverse array of contacts, from the grassroots to the thought leaders and news-makers. Manabat is a reliable media and communications professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mass Communications from Saint Louis University, Philippines. She also attended a Data Investigative Journalism internship under Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung based in Berlin, Germany. She is taking up Masters in Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University. She was able to report the Berlin Terror Attack December 2016 for Philippines news. Ms. Manabat also covered the Hong Kong protests last August 2019, maximizing her mobile journalism skills.
