(Organizer) Penang Institute

Ong Siou Woon is the Grant Manager of TechCamp Malaysia 2022 and Chief Operating Officer of Penang Institute, Malaysia. Prior to joining Penang Institute, she was an assistant Town Planner at a Malaysian architecture and planning consultancy firm. She was selected to participate in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Professional Fellows Programme funded by the US Department of State in 2015 as a Professional Fellow representing Malaysia. She is actively involved in policy discussions in Penang related to urban and regional planning, especially in the areas of sustainable development. She currently sits on the advisory panel of the Penang Green Agenda and Penang2030, the Penang state vision to become a Family-focused Green and Smart State that Inspires the Nation.

Tan Zhi Xian is the Project Manager of TechCamp Malaysia 2022. She earned a Commonwealth Executive MBA from Wawasan Open University. She is currently the personal assistant to the Executive Director.

Sheryl Teoh is the Program and Content Manager of TechCamp Malaysia 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Linfield College, a liberal arts college in the United States, and majored in History with a focus on Classical Greece and Rome. Her interests include the study of philosophy as well as a range of humanities and socio-political issues.

Alexander Fernandez is the Publicity Manager of TechCamp Malaysia 2022. He graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in English for Professionals.

Lokman Redzuan is the Logistics Manager of TechCamp Malaysia 2022. He graduated from University of Malaya with a bachelor’s degree of International and Strategic Studies. Prior to joining Penang Institute, he was an anti-money laundering analyst in an international financial institution. His research interest includes foreign policy, border security, counter-terrorism and regionalism.
